Maren Schönfeld lives in Hamburg. In addition to poetry, she writes lyrical prose and nonfiction and works as a cultural journalist.
As President of Auswärtige Presse e.V., Germany’s oldest freelance journalists’ association, she conducts the editorial team of the online magazine www.die-auswaertige-presse.de.
She also coaches writing in adult education and edits. In 2024, she received the Short Story Award from the Hamburg Authors’ Association.
